Summer Education Series I

In July we gathered together to learn more about our “American” Pope, Pope Leo XIV. We came together in the St. Damien Center to watch the YouTube video “South Side to the Sistine: A look at Pope Leo XIV's path to the papacy”. There was also a handout with facts and pictures about our new Pope.

If you were not able to attend you can still go out to YouTube and view the video. 

Summer Education Series II

Our second gathering Traversing the Golden Years enlightened us on the resources that are in our area to help make life easier. Debbie from Western Illinois Area Agency of the Aging, gave packets with valuable information, resources, and ideas to help each of us and our loved ones live a better and safer life.  Kristin, from Rock Valley Physical Therapy, shared that anyone can attend physical therapy.  The therapists’ goal is to make therapy as fun and easy as possible so we can live life better.
