Staying in Touch

Dear Parishioners,

Communication is very important for any organization. Our parish needs to be able to talk to members about what is going on in our church. Unfortunately, old ways of communicating are becoming more difficult. The mail service has gotten more expensive and less reliable. Landline phones are disappearing. The internet seems to control everything. Even doorbells and thermostats are connected to the internet.

It is for this reason we are examining how we communicate with parishioners. We are presently looking at our software and databases. We are changing our database to a different system called ParishSoft. This involves updating the information we have, like emails and cell phone numbers.

We intend to use a system called Flocknote, which allows us to send out most information in the form of emails and texts. We can send messages to the whole parish or to subgroups in the parish. This will save us a lot of time and money.

I do not like to change, and I am not a techie, but I do like to give accurate information to parishioners in a timely manner. As we go through this transformation, please be patient with us.

Blessings,

Fr. Mark
