Funeral Planning

Choosing the type of gathering, service, ceremony, or memorial service is important for family and friends to come together to honor and celebrate your life. After all, they love you, and you are important to them. Also, remembrance is a key part of the grieving process, so even if it is just a small gathering, it is necessary to do something. Here are a few options to consider as you outline your wishes:

  • Visitation, viewing, wake, or rosary

  • Traditional funeral service

  • Graveside service

  • Memorial service (takes place after burial or cremation)

  • Church funeral service and/or burial

  • Family gathering

  • Reception or fellowship meal

You may not know that you can plan a funeral, memorial, or cremation in advance. Planning ahead for your funeral does more than record your final wishes; it also alleviates the burdens that fall on loved ones at the time of loss.

Make an appointment with Debbie at the Parish Office at (309) 762-2362 and together we will put your final wishes in place.
