Baptismal Information

Thank you for making the Sacrament of Baptismal an important part of your child’s faith life.  Baptism serves as the first sacrament one receives when entering the Catholic Faith. It is a Sacrament of Initiation which you can only receive one time.  This means, once you receive it you officially enter into the body of Christ, the Catholic Church. The recipient receives justifying and sanctifying grace and the Holy Spirit begins to dwell within them.

In order to complete this sacrament, the following needs to be completed:

• Be a member of Sacred Heart Church for four months 

• Attend the next Baptismal Parent class on October 28th at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Damien Center. Please call (309) 762-2362 to register for the class

• Complete all the paperwork and return it to Debbie Patronagio in the parish office two weeks prior to the date of Baptism
