Annual Financial Update
For the Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2026
This is the annual financial report for our parish which shares the income and expense results for the past fiscal year. Our parish concluded its fiscal year on June 30th in a strong financial position. A big thank you to our generous parishioners that continue to support Sacred Heart Church.
Although rising costs created financial pressure, our parish was able to meet all financial obligations this past year. We continue to strive to be responsible stewards of your collective financial contributions to Sacred Heart Church.
Here are a few highlights from the year:
Regular Collections: Parishioners’ regular weekly/ monthly contributions continue to be the largest and most important source of income for our church. Regular collections were higher this past year. Your weekly/monthly offerings are much appreciated. We encourage you to continue your regular contributions.
Memorials/Bequests: Our parish was blessed this past year with memorial and bequest gifts that meaningfully benefited our church. This is a beautiful way to leave a lasting legacy supporting the mission of Sacred Heart Church and a good reminder to consider this type of special gift.
Heart To Heart Capital Campaign: Your generous support of our H2H campaign allowed the parish to complete several capital improvement projects. Over $200,000 in donations resulted in new church gutters and roof repairs, new parking lot repairs, new parish hall stackable chairs, and several other capital improvements.
Other Sources of Revenue: Birdies For Charity, the annual Parish Second Hand Sale, and a few other sources of income also positively impacted our financial position this past year. Thank you to everyone that supported each of these opportunities to help our parish.
Investments & Endowments: Sacred Heart is fortunate to have multiple endowment funds. These funds provide long term financial stability for our parish. Endowment balances are higher this past year, indicating a solid position as we manage future expenditures.
Support for Catholic Education: Sacred Heart continues to be a strong supporter of Catholic education - religious education for public school students, ongoing adult education programs, and financial support for Seton School and Alleman High School. Annual school assessments are one of the biggest annual expenditures in our budget. We can all take great pride in the quality Catholic education that our parish helps make possible.
These highlights from this past fiscal year were all made possible by the generous support of Sacred Heart Church parishioners. You are so appreciated! Looking ahead, we are planning and budgeting for increased cost pressures. Notably, we expect higher charges related to insurance, healthcare costs, school assessments, and ADA expenses. With your continued support we will continue to maintain careful stewardship of our parish’s financial position.
