Sacred Heart Parish Reunion 2026 Recap

What a gorgeous day we enjoyed together on the last Sunday of June.

We began the day with our outdoor Mass in the greenspace and immediately went inside and enjoyed a scrumptious meal provided by our Hispanic Committee.

Although the reunion asked members of Sacred Heart class of 1976 and Seton class of 2001 to join us and share their memories, we found other alumni were interested in meeting up with their classmates. There were a few groups that gathered in our photo booth area to have their picture taken together.

There was much entertainment to relish throughout the day. The popular “Magic by Cory” had a group around his table and he walked through the building inspiring looks of wonderment on people’s faces. The “Puppets to Puppets” show was enjoyed by many as they told a fun story of Johnny Appleseed. “QC Clown” also had a line of people getting their face painted and leaving with their balloon animals. New tabletop games were played along with the popular Bags and Jenga games.

New this year was our Talent Show, which had a wonderful array of gifted artists that performed for all. We were impressed with all of the talent that day.  The winners were: First Prize, Eli Hayz who sang “Feeling Good” by Michael Bublé.  The Runners Up, were Marlo Reed and Kaidyn Meldrum who sang “Seventeen” from the musical “Heathers” and Bailey Callahan who played the guitar and vocals with her own original song.  Other participants, included Abby Ryan (Euphonium solos), Mark Young (original song, guitar/vocals), Grace Rider (piano solo), Sydnie Cochuyt (vocal solo).   We sincerely thank our judges Amy Trimble (Alleman Catholic High School - Vocal Music Director) and Marcia Renaud (retired music educator).

As always, the Raffle Room was filled with a display of fun baskets. We thank all who participated in purchasing tickets for raffles as these monies help to fund next year’s reunion.

If you missed this year’s reunion, we hope you join us next year for a fun time.

If you would get a kick out of helping to plan next year’s reunion, please contact the office at (309) 762-2362 and you will be contacted by a member of the committee.
