The Feast of the Sacred Heart - June 12

The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a Catholic feast that honors the heart of Jesus and His love for humanity.  It is celebrated on the Friday after the Corpus Christi octave.  This year’s feast is celebrated on Friday, June 12th.  Please join us for a light breakfast of pastries and fruit after the 8:00 a.m. Mass in the St. Damien Center.

The feast is a reminder of Jesus’ love, compassion and long-suffering and that God wants to dwell within us.  The heart is considered that seat of love in the human body, and therefore, it is from the heart of Jesus that this love flows.
