Meet Wedding Coordinator Barb Roedel

Many of you know me from my ministry at St. Pius for 13 years. I began attending Sacred Heart upon my retirement in 2021. After our friend Suzie Budde passed away, I volunteered to help the office staff with answering phones, making copies, proofreading, or anything that I could do to make their workload a little lighter. Fr. Mark asked me to consider the Wedding Coordinator position. I have not done wedding ministry before, so I am on a learning curve! I enjoy helping brides and grooms plan their wedding liturgy. Denise Maynard helps with rehearsals and weddings when I am out of town. Other ministries I am involved in at Sacred Heart are Sacred Justice, Lectoring, Altar & Rosary Society, and I am a member of a team who write Prayers of the Faithful for liturgies. Working with Fr. Mark and the staff at Sacred Heart is a delight. I look forward to worshiping and working with all of you.
