13th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Parishioners:

I would like to share with you the schedule that we will be following the next few weeks. Our weekend Masses will be at 4:00p.m. in the church on Saturday.  On Sunday, our 7:00a.m. Mass will be in the church.  Our 9:00 a.m. Mass will be outside in front of Culemans Hall.  Our 11:00a.m. Mass will be in the church.  If you are going to Sunday Mass in the church it will require you to sign-up on our website at sacredheartmoline.org.  If you have problems with this, call our office at 309-762-2362 and our staff will sign you up.  There is no sign-up for the 9:00a.m. outside Mass.  We just ask you to meet in front of Culemans Hall and that you bring your own chair.  A mask should be worn at all Masses.

The weekday Masses Monday through Saturday are in the church. Weekday Masses will be at 8:00a.m. until all the windows are installed in the church.  There is no sign-up required for weekday Masses. You will be asked to sign in. For all Masses you are asked to enter the church through the main doors off 17th Avenue.  The doors will open one half hour before all Masses (Weekend and Weekday).

During the week we will livestream Masses on Tuesday and Thursday at 8:00a.m. and we will have communion in the parking lot for those who do not wish to join public worship at the present.  On the weekends we will livestream the 4:00p.m. Mass and have Holy Communion in the parking lot after Mass.

Following our Wednesday Mass and on First Friday, we will lead you into a half hour of adoration and closing with Benediction. On Fridays the rosary will begin about 7:40a.m. prior to Mass praying for all victims of the pandemic.

This will be our schedule in the short run.  We will return to a full schedule when the work on our stained glass windows is completed..  Arranging all these different services has been quite a challenge.  I would appreciate your continued help to spread the word about services.

I repeat what I have said often.  Catholics, presently, have no obligation to attend Sunday Mass.  If your health is at risk, please play it safe.  We will try to do all we can to create a safe environment when you come to Sacred Heart to worship.

May Our Lady and all the angels and saints watch over you today.

Fr. Mark
