Monsignor Dale L. Wellman
"I was born on the tenth day of November in 1938, Quincy, Illinois. My parents were Luke and Dorothy (Beckman) Wellman. I grew up in the Moline area. I attended St. Mary's Church, went to their grade school, and went on to attend Alleman Catholic High School. I attended the Minor Seminary at St. Bede Abbey, Peru, Illinois and went on to the Major Seminary at St. Paul, Minnesota. I was ordained a Catholic Priest for the Diocese of Peoria on May 31, 1964.
I have served parishes in Galesburg, Peoria, Bartonville, LaSalle, Milan, and came to Sacred Heart in Moline, in June of 2001. I presume this will be my last parish where I will serve as Pastor since I am fast approaching the retirement age for pastors. I have enjoyed being a priest of the Catholic Church and it has been a joy to serve God's people. Please pray for vocations."
